This is an outstanding and completely untouched example of a Martially Inspected Colt 3rd Model Dragoon. This example is exactly how you want to find them, untouched and fine. This example wouldn't be considered a high condition gun, but if it was it would be over $100,000. This is the next best thing, absolutely untouched and original in every way. The finish has just turned to a beautiful patina with finish showing underneath. The barrel still shows plenty of traces of the original blue. The frame shows silvered patterns of the original color case hardened finish. All edges are sharp, as this gun has not been handled much over its life. Bore is very fine condition. Still some blue in the cylinder chambers. The grips are exceptional with 2 fine cartouches. The backstrap and trigger guard show a beautiful mustard patina. The cylinder scene is exceptional and virtually almost all visible. The loading lever shows patterns of original case hardened finish visible. All matching serial numbers throughout. This is an absolutely stunning Dragoon that one could improve upon but for nearly double the price minimum to not get that much better. Buyer can choose shipping method.
