This Colt Model 1849 Pocket revolver features fantastic factory engraving done by the hand of the master, Gustave Young. This Colt was once part of the famed DuPont collection. The gun itself is in very good original condition. Burl grips are excellent. The barrel shows about 50-60% blue finish. The frame shows silvered patterns of the case colors through the engraving. The trigger guard and backstrap show 95%+ original silver. The cylinder scene is excellent and shows almost all visible. Mechanically excellent. This is an extremely rare variation showing the Hartford barrel address, and German silver dovetail front sight. Not often is this variation seen! Beautiful gun that would look fantastic in any Colt collections. Buyer to pay actual shipping and insurance. Thank you!
