Description:
Here's a gun for the collector's collector.  A beautiful French 16 gauge pinfire gun made by Hedeline in Paris circa 1870 (as marked on the barrels which was the custom of the French proof house in Paris at the time).  This gun is exceptionally late for a pinfire and in exceptionally fine condition.  I've owned Purdeys, Woodwards, and Atkins and this gun has the best workmanship that I've ever seen.  It is also as close to excellent original as you could possibly imagine.  The gun really looks like it's been in a museum for the past 150 years. Most of the original finish is there, including the original finish on the spectacular Leopold Bernard damascus barrels.  And, it comes in a two tiered mahogany case (also in magnficient condtion) with some accessories including a French leather pinfire cartridge belt case and French case of pinfire pins.  I could go on but will let the pictures do the talking.

I have actually shot this gun on several occassions and am happy to share my pinfire load and some spent shells with the buyer, if interested.
