Here is what I found on theabout the maker:
Ogden Smiths used to be a fishing tackle company in London. In 1923, Walter Sydney Ogden Smith of the Ogden Smith family joined with the gunmaker Henry H. Hussey (son of gunmaker H.J. Hussey’s assistant manager at Holland and Holland in the 1890’s among other occupation in the trade ) to sell guns under the name Ogden Smiths & Hussey, Limited. This partnership lasted until 1933 and produced shotguns and rifles of different styles and qualities.
A classic Anson and Deeley type shotgun of the great prewar era.
