Very fine rifle with 24"" barrel. Barrel has a full length solid rib with barrel sights, rear sight is fixed at 100 meters, second sight at 200 meters and third folding leaf at 300 meters. Ladder sight with graduations from 4 to 10. Barrel rib marked ""Watson Bros, Old Bond Street, London."" Front sight is bracketed post. The receiver is engraved in a rose and scroll pattern with a decorative border pattern. Lever and breech block are also engraved. Stock forend has a horn tip. The butt plate is also of horn. Both forend tip and butt plate are perfect. No chips, no cracks no bug damage. Stocks are checkered and the checkering is perfect. The pistol grip cap is likewise perfect. Stocks have beautiful figured walnut on both sides. Rifle is fitted with sling eyes but no sling or swivels. Frame has thumb lever safety and cocking indicator. We test fired this rifle and it worked perfectly. Fired cartridge case included. Note: This fine rifle comes with an original canvas covered luggage case with the Watson Bros. trade label. The interior is very tatty with bug or rodent damage. The quality of the rifle along with the luggage case begs to have the interior replaced, of course saving the original label.
