Description:
~Remington No. 4 Rolling Block Rifle chambered in .32 Rimfire (Short/long). This rifle is the Solid Frame variation, the earliest version of the rifle, and dates to between 1890 and 1900. This rifle features the revolutionary Remington Rolling block design, with an ocatgonal barrel, patina'd (but not rusted) metal parts, and smooth walnut furniture. The rifle has recently has its 3-prong spring replaced, however due to the rifles age, the bearing surfaces on the bolt block are slightly worn, allowing for some play when the bolt is in the closed position, as we've shown in the photos. The bore is in great condition with no rust or pitting, and the remainder of the action functions nicely. The serial number is on the higher end of the solid framed rifle run (86XXX), and we cannot confirm it's exact manufacture date. A great addition to your Remington rifle collection!
