Description:
Beautiful early Ithaca Classic Double, SN 470,003 made by Stephen Lamboy at the very beginning of his production. This gun, his third ever produced, is a 20ga with 28" barrels, splinter forend, double triggers, straight stock and original lined buttplate. The gun has wavy border engraving with a beautiful "Ithaca" gold inlay on each side. This exact gun is featured in several of the company's early advertisements and was purchased by a local upstate NY client.
The gun remains in excellent original condition with more than 98% original barrel and wood finish with only minor handling marks. Case colors are in the 90-95% range with just a bit of spotting on the bottom of the gun. Mechanics are crisp and the bores are brilliant and shiny.
