Most double gun enthusiasts are aware of the reputation earned by the Winchester Model 21; a gun of far superior strength and mechanical genius that was under the micro-management of John Olin himself.  Model 21's are fully capable of shooting the most powerful loads available, SO IF YOU LIKE MAGNUM LOADS FOR PHEASANTS, DUCKS, OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS YOUR GUN.  This Model 21 twenty gauge, sn10189 built in 1948, is in exceptional condition, with 99% metal and wood finish throughout.  THIS IS A 6 POUND 2 OUNCE MODEL 21 TWENTY GAUGE, FACTORY CHOKED AT IC/M, THE ONLY ULTRALIGHT MODEL 21 YOU WILL LIKELY SEE IN YOUR LIFETIME.  THIS IS THE ULTIMATE UPLAND HUNTER’S WINCHESTER MODEL 21!  Most avid upland bird hunters reject the Winchester Model 21 as much of a bird gun because Model 21 twenty gauge guns typically weigh between 6 ¾ and 7lbs….far too heavy to carry all day in the field when there are so many other fine double guns to choose that weigh 6 1/4lbs. or less.  I have handled well over 1000 Model 21 guns in 20ga. and only 5 have been under 6 1/4lbs., and only 2 near 6lbs….this is one of the two.  AN ULTRALIGHT MODEL 21 20GA. GUN DEMANDS A PREMIUM PRICE AND YOU WILL ONLY HAVE ONE CHANCE AT A GUN LIKE THIS ONE.  Don’t hesitate or she will be gone!  The mechanics are excellent, screws and bores are perfect, there are no cracks or splits in the wood, and the barrels are tight on the hinge pin and breech face like a new gun.  It is hard to find these Model 21 guns in 20ga. with field chokes, as most have skeet chokes.  This is the perfect 20ga. upland bird gun, and a superb choice for pheasants, grouse, quail, or any other bird that you travel over long distances with your dogs.  Of course IC/M chokes are superb for the clay target games as well.  The buttstock and forearm have been replaced with beautiful European Walnut, expertly fit to the action, and checkered to perfection.  It was converted to an English style stock complete with a long tang trigger guard.  This is a stunningly beautiful little Model 21 and balances perfectly between the hands.  There are many 20ga. Model 21 guns to choose from, but how do you know which one to buy???  I suggest that you only buy a valuable, investment quality shotgun if you know for sure what you are getting.  You need details to make an informed choice…details that most other sellers simply do not provide, like bore diameter, barrel wall thicknesses, stock dimensions, chokes and other specifics that make a big difference in value.  And how about photos that will let you see the gun and its condition before you spend your hard-earned money?  We at Vintage Firearms, Inc. work hard to provide the power of knowledge and the opportunity to buy solid, investment quality firearms with no excuses or surprises.  We even answer our phone all day long, 6 days a week.  We want your business!   Thanks for looking!
