Payment Types Accepted: US Postal Order, Certified Check, Money Order Description: LAST CHANCE - I AM PULLING THIS              SCARCE  - Title says it all: 1940 King Super Target Colt Officers Model 38 Heavy Barrel with King Cockeyed Hammer and custom hand filed Roper stocks.  The Colt Collectors Association’s publication, The Rampant Colt is currently working on a feature article on King. This Officers Model received the fabled Full King treatment with the King Super Target ventilated rib including mirrored, and red insert front sight, and the famous right hand offset patented Cockeyed Hammer innovation.  The first ventilated rib for Colt -  a concept that Colt eventually took up and used for the Python years later.  Beautiful hand checkered Roper American black walnut stocks with terrific palm swell on right side.  This firearm included the special feature of a 2 3/4lb trigger pull as detailed in the included factory letter. Top of the line Officers Model with the hand filed backstrap, and trigger. This target gun exhibits all of the details, fit and finish that made the Colt Pre-War double action renowned for their build and accuracy.  The action is crisp, the lock up is tight, the bolt drops ½ way into the grooves on all 6, endshake is absent, and the bore is sharp and mirror bright.  The original factory finish has scattered light oxidation blemishes, fine scratches and scuffs on the barrel, rib, and frame, light high edge wear.  Stampings and letterings are all very crisp.
