12 Bore, circa 1901.
30″ nitro reproofed beautiful Damascus barrels, the rib engraved “Robert Hughes & Sons
2 1/2″ (65mm) chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke
Cross lever extension, automatic safety with gold-inlaid “SAFE” detail
Frame and toplever with fine scroll engraving
14 1/4″ well figured stock including that has wonderfully straight grain and splinter forend.
DAC: 1 3/8", DAH: 1 7/8".
Bores at .731 & .736, minimum wall thickness at .021 and .021.
Cast off for a right hand shot, blank metal oval.
This is a very pretty boxlock with fantastic tight crolle damascus barrels that has had money lavished on it. Ever so fine hint of dust in the rib.
