This is a nice example of the Scarce and highly sought after Smith & Wesson Volcanic Pistol. this example shows a light patina. The grips are excellent. The engraving is sharp and pronounced. The barrel address is excellent and sharp. Mechanically when the lever is used, the carrier will get hung up and have to be manually put back into place, this is not uncommon as there is a pin inside that needs to be bent the opposite direction. When the hammer is cocked manually, the action functions excellent and as it should. A very respectable example of a scarce pistol!
