Description:
Serial #101, .41 RF, 3" barrels with very good, pitted bores. This is a very close copy of the Remington-Elliot, but does not have any factory markings, only extensive Liege proofs throughout. The metal retains 45-50% of the original nickel finish with the balance flaked to a dark plum-brown with mild freckling and some small spots of pinprick pitting along the gripstraps. The checkered hard rubber grips have light-moderate flattening along the high spots. The barrel lock-up is good, having some minor lateral play in the barrels, but the sear is worn and the hammer will not stay cocked. The strain screw is quite proud of the gripstrap as well. This is a well made, and very close, European copy of an iconic American pistol that is in very good overall condition. FFL or C&R
