SOLD PENDING RECEIPT OF FUNDS
Built in 1913, the first year of production in this grade, it remains a beautiful gun and proven pheasant killer.
The 28 inch barrels are choked modified and full. The bores are clear and unpolished. The blacking is original and shows some wear but remains attractive.
The gun's action is as tight as new and the top lever is well to the right. Case colors are fading but not worn. The ejectors are strong and perfectly in time.
I know the buttstock is a replacement only because the original stock, broken and repaired, was included with the gun when I purchased it. The stock on the gun is a nice piece of oil finished European walnut, well fitted with an attractive job of checkering in the original pattern. Excellent dimensions: 15½ pull at the front trigger, 14¾ at the rear; 1½ inch drop at comb, 2½ at the heel.
