Colt New Police .38 caliber revolver. Rare Cops & Thug with Cop & Thug grips. Manufactured 1882. Serial Number 14872. 4 ½" Barrel with ejector Bore is good with strong rifling. Gun has approximately 97% original factory nickle. Action works perfectly. “Colt Police .38" is etched on left side of barrel and is completely legible. Cop & Thug grips are very good plus. No cracks or chips. They show some light rubbing or handling wear. This is an early Cop & Thug and is correct in the serial range for 1882 (#14,500 up to 21,500) in 1886. Rare in 4 ½" with ejector.
