Description:
A nice serviceable 16 Gauge x 8x57mm JR combination gun made in Germany prior to 1922 with all of the bells and whistles. It has a 4 cartridge Butt trap, Set trigger, cocking indicators, folding rear sight, 7/8 inch sling swivels, claw scope mount bases, nicely engraved with Rabbits, Duck and Deer and a tripple locking system and is sight as a Bank Vault. The rifle and shotgun bores are clean and bright and the shotgun is choked modified and chamber has been opened up to 2 3/4 inches. The stock measurements are; DAC 1 1/2 inch, DOH 2 1/2 inch and LOP 13 7/8 inch. It weighs 6 pounds and 15 ounces. The wood shows use with dings and scratches and the action and engraved butt trap retain some case colors. The maker is unknown as the forward scope base is mounted in the name. The horn butt plate has been the meal for horn worms, but this could be rectified by the addition of a recoil pad. What is showing is "--tsen- Hildesheim". This would make a great all around gun for the discriminating sportsman (or woman). A high grade German combination gun. Please use the ZOOM feature to make your evaluation.
