This Underwood Carbine Serial No 143XXX was mfg abt 6/43, cal .30 has all of the correct WW II period component parts The bluing is a darker gray parkerizing.
(I use R C Larsen's M-1 carbine 2nd Edition , Craig Riesch's 7th edition* & Harrison's publications for my references.) Every attempt is made to assure accuracy

The bore is shiney w/excellent riflinging & measures "1.0". The action is normal and tight. The Buttstock is a T 2 high Cut w/a late style Cartouche markings of "GHD/UEF w/ordnance" and the sling well says "M-U' . It is in excellent condition w/no dents,dings, scratches or cracking. Ther is a matching handgusr it is a T1 - w/2holes and the markings of "M - U". It is also excellent.
The sling, oiler & magazine are for presentation purposes only and are not included.

This Underwood is to me an Excellent representative of quality manufacturing and should appeal to the very discerning collector. I would rate it and an NRA excellent.
