Smith & Wesson Military & Police as lent to England during WWII (British Lend Lease Gun). This 6-shot revolver, built on the "K" frame, is fitted with a 5 inch barrel, checkered walnut grips with S&W medallions, lanyard on butt of grip, fixed sights, is blue finished, and is chambered in .38 S&W. The gun is in fine original condition, retaining 70-80% of its original blue finish, with most loss/thinning due to holster wear. The grips fit well and are in fine condition, with assorted handling marks. The bore is bright, with sharp rifling, and the action functions perfectly, though a little loose. It is all numbers matching except for the grips, originals would have been smooth. It is "UNITED STATES PROPERY" stamped along with the British proof stamps and flaming bomb.
