This is a very clean lightly-used Thompson Center Contender pistol with a 10" inch heavy target .22 LR barrel and Leupold optics mounts. This Contender is a vintage pistol made in 1989 that appears to have lived a very easy life. Well-known for being a very well-made, reliable, simple, and extremely accurate pistol platform, vintage T/C Contenders are sought after by collectors and shooter alike. The changeable barrel design allows one pistol to do it all, with barrels available in numerous lengths and chambered in everything from .17 HMR all the way up to centerfire/magnum rifle cartridges. Outside of a small modification to the front sight ramp, this particular Contender is all-original and retains it's factory finishes and stock set. This break-action single-shot Contender features a beautiful high-gloss blue factory finish, a factory engraved receiver, a 10" inch heavy target .22 LR round barrel, a rimfire/centerfire selectable hammer, and a very handsome smooth American Walnut stock set with a silver pistol grip cap featuring a mountain lion's head. This Contender is in perfect working order with a crisp and tight action and a superb trigger. The previous owner fit a Leupold 1-piece base and a pair of 1" inch rings on it for mounting a scope. All this pistol needs is a scope and it is ready to go. If you have been looking for a high-condition and low round-count Contender for your collection here is your chance.
