The left ocular of these glasses is marked "No 5 CDN MK 2/4 /7 X 50/30787-C C broad arrow" and the right "Rel/Canada 1945/cal /Canada1950." REL was an optical manufacturing concern set up by the Canadian government to produce military optics, gun sights, binoculars and range finders in 1940 due to shortage of such manufacturers in England. Products of REL were issued to Canadian and British forces. With a green canvas neck strap and a black plastic carry case with some pulled out rivets on the belt loop.
