Description:
A very handsome and somewhat hard to find high quality 20 gauge English Sidelock from well known maker William Ford. Ford was also a well known barrel maker who made barrels for some of London's Best Makers. This gun is in excellent condition with 70% original case color . Barrels are 2 3/4 Nitro Proofed and 25" with Churchill Rib and bored IC right and Mod left. Stock is dark highly figured near exhibition quality with an LOP of 15" to checkered butt. There are no dents or marks. Bluing near mint on barrels and trigger guard (may have been reblacked long ago. Engraving is outstanding and done in Holland & Holland style (I would not be surprized if the same engraver for H & H did this gun as well).. engraving everywhere is very sharp. Don't let the 25" barrels sway you.....with a 15 LOP this gun fits and feels like the proverbial Magic Wand. To top it all of it weighs a feathery 5lb 6 oz. Priced at $9950 shipped !!!
