BAVARIAN GERMAN 1800'S ARTILLERY SWORD & SCABBARD W KIRSCHBAUM Cie
Heavy, Large, Monstrosity. Sword is as found. No cleaning or tweaking. There is a lot of dried grease. Of course, there is some rust & pitting but much of what is seen on the blade & scabbard is dried grease. See picture of spine markings. I think it is Bavarian but I am no expert. Depend on your own knowledge & expertise. No unit or regiment markings. The sword measures 35 inches, Guard measures 5 inches , Scabbard 31 inches , Total length of Sword with scabbard is 37 inches. Blade is 1 3/4 inches wide.
