In 1994 Harris-McMillan Rifle Company of Phoenix Arizona introduced their version of the Famous 1874 Sharps Rifle.
That's right, the Company (now Companies) famous for Tactical and Long Range Bolt Action Rifles dabbled in the Reproduction 19th Century Single Shot Rifle market.
I spoke with Wes Harris of Harris Gunworks by phone, he indicated to me that approximately 200 Sharps Rifles were made by the Harris-McMillan Company.
He confirmed with me that he did use stainless steel barrels on some but not all of the “Antietam” Sharps rifles.
Wes said the receivers were CNC machined from 4140.
Marked "ANTIETAM" on the RH receiver side, this one is chambered in 45/70 with a 32" stainless steel barrel, extra fancy walnut, globe front and C.Sharps Arms Long-Range Vernier tang sight.
Rifle is 99% and is unfired.
