Remington Model 510 .22 caliber bolt action single shot rifle, dated to 1946 via the Remington date code.
This is an early first-year production Remington Model 510-P Targetmaster. Firearm condition is overall very good good with almost all of the original bluing remaining. Bore is also in great condition with no pitting or rust. Stock has a few handling marks here and there but it my opinion that the finish is original to the rifle.
Introduced in 1939 the Remington 510 series of rifles are all single-shot and chambered for .22 S, L & LR. The 510-P was made for a Point-Crometer rear sight and a patridge type front sight that came mounted from the factory. Known to be exceptionally accurate firearms, it is not uncommon to see them shoot Quarter size groups at 50 Yards with the factory trigger and Peep-Sight.
