Beautiful and unmolested Pre War Winchester 70 in very scarce .22 Hornet caliber. 24" Barrel. S/N 39*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1941. Overall condition is 96% showing only typical light wear and handling of a superbly cared for 80 year old rifle. This rifle has 100% original finishes and components, with excellent silky smooth mechanical function and bore. The rear receiver bridge has never been drilled, and I have verified that the chamber has never been reamed to K Hornet. An extremely desirable 70 in terms of chambering and vintage, and one that does not come along very often.
