Description:
Here’s your chance to own a really great part of Cooper Firearms history.

Cooper Firearms introduced the Model 56 for belted magnums at the Las Vegas Shot Show in January 2011.  Cooper also displayed a photograph of a newly minted Model 56 with Exhibition Grade wood on their Home Page.  The gun offered for sale here is THAT EXACT GUN.  This gun’s serial number is SHOTSHOW 11-3.

I've included two "screen shots" of the Cooper Firearms Home Page as it existed on March 3, 2011 (as photographs).

Back in February 2011, Cooper Firearms told me there were precisely 3 Model 56’s produced for Shot Show 2011:
  • SHOTSHOW 11-1 ==> Western Classic, 340 Weatherby Magnum, exhibition grade wood (this gun was retained by the company for their library)
  • SHOTSHOW 11-2 ==> Classic, 300 Winchester Magnum, blued barrel, regular wood (somewhat of a plain looking gun)
  • SHOTSHOW 11-3 ==> Jackson Game, 7mm Remington Magnum, stainless steel barrel, exhibition grade wood, used to advertise the new Model 56 line of rifles on their Home Page.  THIS is the gun offered here.
Per Cooper Firearms, when the Model 56 came out, the base price for a Jackson Game rifle was $3,000.  Exhibition Grade wood was a $2,000 adder.  Thus, this gun’s original retail price was $5,000.  The Model 56 was made from 2011 – 2013.

Take a look at the photographs.  The gun speaks for itself.  It has no handling marks.  It’s condition is perfect in every way.

I’ve always liked Coopers and the exhibition grade walnut stock on this one is AMAZING, with the patterns in the wood extending the full length of the stock.

The gun comes with an attractive blue embroidered soft case, original Cooper box, 2 sets of scope bases (Luepold and Talley), owner’s manual, and the original Cooper Test Target (a slightly triangular one-hole group).

Any collector of fine bolt rifles will enjoy having this gun in their collection.
