Spencer 3-band Military rifle M1867. 50 Caliber. These Spencer 3-band rifles are MUCH more scarce then their carbine counterparts. This is an attractive, unadultered, original Spencer rifle that has not been refinished. All original patina. Metal is smooth throughout. Sling swivels and sights all proper and intact. There is a thin, unoffensive crack on one side of the stock. (see pics) There is a well defined, 'T' carved in one side of the stock - possibly a soldiers initial/identifying mark. see pics.(inoffensive as well) Serial 984xx falls squarely in the proper serial number range.
