The 455 and 457 22lr bolt action rifles offer so much untapped potential. Regarding tolerances and execution, they are built to a price point. However, the basic platform is clearly the best for the money. The barrels are actually very good. The actions and trigger mechanisms are well designed. We at HEFFRON PRECISION© bring out the very best with these rifles! We machine several areas within the barrel and action to exacting tolerances and in essence "redesign" the areas responsible for consistent accuracy. Every barreled action we upgrade receives 5+ hours of shop work. When we are finished, you have a true high-end 22 rifle that rivals others costing several times its modest cost.
