Description:
FN (Fabrique Nationale) High Power 9mm pistol. This High Power predates the Browning High Power by a few years! The proof mark for the inspector is a “R” with a star over the letter indicating Sylvain Wagemans as the inspector. His work is attributed to 1951-1965 and Browning started in 1954, dating the gun between 1951 and 1954 (and probably closer to ’51).
So, this FN High Power is roughly 70 years old and yet it retains approximately 98% original condition of all metal finishes and of the wood grip finish.
A mirror bright/perfect bore on the original barrel that is even serial numbered to the frame and slide. Mechanically perfect.
What this High Power represents for the collector is a high condition Post War/Pre Browning commercial High Power.
