Description:
Very uncommon Triplett & Scott Civil War carbine.  30 inch barrel.  50 Caliber.  Seven shot magazine tube in butt.  Made circa 1864-1865.  Serial #7xx.  Marked 'Kentucky' on the left side of the receiver.  This rifle does NOT have that unsightly long crack down the side of the stock.  There are some small, inoffensive cracks at the top of the stock - but not very noticeable.  (see pics)  The dark walnut on both stock and fore-end is very attractive and has NOT been refinished (see pics).  No case colors remaining on the metal.  Only a few thousand 30 inch barrel Triplett & Scotts were made so one can understand why they're so uncommon.  This example is missing a sling swivel therefore I am pricing it aggressively at $1,450.  Shipping $30.  Antique so no FFL needed - ships right to your door.  Let me know of questions or for more pictures.

Parker collector's take note.....this gun was made by the Meriden Manufacturing Co......which was Charles Parkers gun making venture BEFORE he started the famous Parker Co. manufacturing shotguns.
