Description:
This is a beautiful, rare, and all-original Presentation-grade Front-Loading Revolver from the Moore's Patent Firearms Company chambered in the unique .32 Caliber Teat-fire cartridge.  This front-loading revolver design was an attempt to circumvent the Rollin White patent and was one of Smith & Wesson's most successful competitors.  This factory deluxe / presentation model has a factory gold-washed finish on the frame and barrel, a silver-plated trigger and hammer, a blued cylinder, and real Ivory grips in addition to near complete engraving coverage.  It is really a spectacular piece with beautiful hand-engraving and a neat cylinder scene.  This single-action Front-Loading Revolver is fitted with a 3.25" inch barrel and a 6-shot cylinder.  It is in perfect working order, with the action in perfect "time" and excellent cylinder lock-up.  The hammer still has both the safety and full-cock positions intact, and the trigger breaks nicely with a light pull.  All of the controls are in perfect working order, including the hinged front loading gate on the right front of the frame ahead of the cylinder.  As you can see from the pictures, the original factory finishes are all in great shape overall and beautiful, showing only minor to light finish wear in places. All of the factory markings and factory engraving is crisp and clear.  The bore in this Moore's revolver is excellent, showing sharp rifling and no major imperfections or wear.  The 6 cylinder chambers are equally as clean.  The factory Ivory grips are very handsome, showing a nice aged patina on both sides.  The left Ivory grip shows a surface crack running thru the escutcheon but it does not go thru to the back side of the grip.  This classy and beautiful little revolver is a very rare find, and would be an excellent addition to any antique arms collection.  The only comparable example we can find that has sold recently was at Amoskeag Company in their March 2019 that sold for $5175 including the buyers premium!!!  As an antique, this beauty can be shipped directly to your home, no FFL needed.
