VERY FINE CONDITION 1894 SPECIAL ORDER TAKEDOWN, HALF OCTAGON, FULL MAGAZINE RIFLE IN .32 SPECIAL CALIBER, #214XXX, MADE 1904. A really nice example special order '94 that shows fine blue on both receiver sides with only minor wear and thinning blue on the bolt and bottom of the receiver. The barrel and mag tube also show fine blue with some thinning on the top of the barrel and light ageing on the mag tube. There are a couple of tiny dings in the bottom of the mag tube that are hardly worth mentioning. The takedown is tight and the wood to metal fit is fine. There is a saddle wear spot on the left side of the forearm that is typical for a rifle held over the saddle by a right handed shooter. The stock has better than standard grade walnut which is typical for special order rifles and also has a slight saddle scabbard rub behind the lever. Has the correct .32 Special smokeless rear sight used only for this caliber paired with a standard small Winchester blade front sight. Action is tight and the bore is bright, sharp and excellent. Screw heads are also excellent. A handsome and scarce 117 year old 1894.
