Late 19th Century Belgian Revolver with BONE GRIPS!
Here we present a Belgian Double Action Top Break Revolver, manufactured in Belgium circa the late 19th Century. It is, in essence, a Montenegrin revolver chambered for the classic American cartridge. This 6-shot double action revolver chambered in .44-40 WCF was a hefty self-defense weapon that was definitely a man stopper. This revolver is full-sized and would have been worn in a holster on the belt by an armed civilian.
“FOR 44 WINCHESTER CARTRIDGE” atop the barrel. “BELGIUM” on top of the frame. Three Belgium proofs can be found on the right side of the frame.
The overall condition is fine. The action is strong all around. The bore is bright and in good condition. Original nickel finish. The bone grips are in fine shape. A large European revolver in a classic American cartridge!
