Description:
Caliber 40-65 WCF. Made in 1888 - 3rd year of production. Overall good+ condition - mechanically perfect and all original. Traces of color case hardening in protected areas, but mainly silvered-out. 26" octagon barrel and full length mag tube retaining 45-50% blue, small spot (dime-size) of light pitting on exterior of barrel. Original crescent butt plate. Bore is very good with no pitting. Correct sights along with period peep sight. All markings are sharp and correct. Wood to metal fit is excellent. Wood has no cracks or splits. A really nice example of a great rifle that you'll be proud to own.
