Description:
Fine quality 22 ga Birmingham double Flintlock made by Whitehouse. Barrels are 28" in length This double dates about 1790~1810 period. The locks have rainproof pans, roller frizzen springs, and platinum blow out plug touchholes. The ramrod is ebony with brass ends. A select piece of English feather crotch walnut makes up the stock. The furniture and locks are finely hand engraved with pineapple motifs, flying game birds, and fine roccoco scrolls. This gun is a work of art and a thing of fine craftsmanship. The locks are very fast. Ignition is about as fast as a percussion gun. Have shot clay birds and pheasants using an ounce of #71/2 shot. Included are 22ga nitro cards, filler wads, and overshot wads. Will take a Beretta 686 or 687 Silver Pigeon in trade.
