Description:
Winchester Model 97 12 gauge, 28" barrel, modified choke. I do not have a good camera for pictures nor a very good place to take them, so there is a bit of glare on the pictures. But, this gun is in immacualte condition. Anyone that has dealt in Model 97s knows that most of them are very, very rough. This one was acquired through an estate. I do believe that the gun has been fired because of very minor markings on the slide, but it has clearly not been fired much.
My opinion is that it was bought, put together, shot a couple of times, taken back apart and put in the safe and left there. It comes with the original, properly numbered box and the owners manual, warranty and original hang tag. I've looked for quality 97s for years and this is the best I have come across.
I am open to reasonable offers (it won't break my heart to keep it, though).
