Description:
Serial #5379, .380 CF, 3 3/8" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a very handsome gun that has retained 70-75% of the original blue finish, mainly on the barrel and cylinder, while the frame, which is floral engraved, has a mixed blue and gray patina. The topstrap is marked: "J. RIGBY & Co. / DUBLIN"; and the Webley "Winged Bullet" trademark is present on the left side. The checkered walnut grip has a few minor blemishes, as well as mild flattening of the points, however there are no chips or cracks, and some original finish is still present on the grip cap. The action is functional and the lock-up is tight. This very revolver is described and illustrated on pg. 23 of "Webley Solid Frame Revolvers – Models RIC, MP, and No. 5" by Black, Davis, and Michaud (2010). This is a fine example of a rare, Pre-RIC revolver, sold by a legendary firm, and published in a respected reference. Antique
