Description:
Excellent condition No 1 Remington Rolling Block Schuetzen Conversion by A.O. Bremer of San Francisco (Circa early 1900’s). Otto was very active in the era of 22 Schuetzen shooting and as a gunsmith converted many of the popular single shot rifles of the day for competitive shooting. This Rolling Block is a prime example of the quality work he did. This commercial No 1 Rolling Block was fitted with a Winchester barrel and chambered in 22 WRF. Here are the specifics.

Caliber - 22 WRF (Not 22 WMR)
Barrel Length - 25 ¾”
Finish - Blue barrel with case colored receiver.
Serial #- 1443 (only found on butt stock)
Year of Manufacture - 1800’s (Antique)
Condition:
Functionality - Excellent
Receiver - Excellent. In the conversion the Remington patent dates and serial numbers were removed. The hammer was lightened for faster lock time. Otto converted the CF to RF by creating a dual firing pin, hitting the cartridge at 12 & 6 o-clock.
Barrel External - Excellent. Winchester Heavy #3 weight barrel, still retains the Winchester markings.
Bore - Excellent. Shiny with strong rifling and no pitting. The rifle shoots well and is accurate.
Trigger - Excellent. Standard trigger with 3# Trigger pull.
Stock - Excellent pistol grip stock with original buttplate and ebony insert in grip. The butt stock is serialized but not the forend. Checkering in excellent condition.
Sights - Original Remington Mid-Range rear sight with a Beech combination front sight.
