Here is your chance to own a piece of history from two sources. Offered is a Winchester custom shop model 70 “Ultimate Classic” in .300 Winchester Magnum built in New Haven, CT. The maker was one of the last two gunsmiths that worked there before they closed shop. This is a control round fed action in stainless steel with a 26” half round/half octagon barell. The trigger guard assembly is one-piece blued finish with a custom gold embossed floor plate and trigger guard. The bolt body, collar around the extractor and floor plate are finely jeweled. The stock is a select black walnut that was sent to the renowned stock maker, Joe Balickie for checkering in oak leave and acorn pattern. According to the gunsmith, Joe Balickie was the premier stock maker that Winchester used for their custom work. This rifle was proof fired, and function tested only. The gunsmith who put this rifle together is Mike Balzano. I can put any prospective buyer in touch with him if you have any specific questions.
