Payment Types Accepted: money order Description: Here is a nice S&W 3rd Model Russian with a decent bore showing good rifling but some black powder roughness. I shot this gun several years ago when I first got it and it shot well with my reloads. Lock-up is tight and surprising given that the gun is nearly 150 years old. The finish has turned to a dark patina but no rust or pitting. Lettering is sharp, screw heads are good, and the grips are all there with no cracks or chips. The person I got this gun from thought it had been reblued but if it was, it was long enough ago that it turned to patina. As sharp as the lettering is and with no dishing of screwheads I don't think it was reblued. The action works as it should ejecting the shells properly. Overall it's a good antique S&W from the 1870s that won't break the bank and is shootable with the proper ammunition.$40 shipping and insurance to your door in most jurisdictions. No paperwork required. SOLD Antique: Yes Handgun Caliber: .44 S&W Russian Manufacturer: Smith and Wesson Model: 3rd Model Russian Serial Number: 503xx Barrel Length: 6&1/2 |
