This Browning was produced in 1960. The rifle's serial number is A 9965. This rifle was made in Belgium. It has the 22 inch take down barrel chambered for the 22 Short only. The barrel has the early wheel rear sight for fast adjusting. The reciever also has the early style stock screw. The top of the reciever has the grooves to mount a scope. The stock has very nice figuring and coloring. This grade one Browning shows very little use or wear. The bore is minty and bright. The original blued finish would rate a 99% overall condition. The stock and hand guard retain all of the original wood finish. This 22 rifle has not been restored in any way! It is all original as it left the factory in 1960. This 22 comes with an original Browning luggage case. this case is in very good serviceable condition. The top upper right hand corner of the lid, there is a Browning label that is missing. The mounting holes are still there. The case itself has the dividers intact as well as the liners. It certainly is fully serviceable to use! These early Brownings with the Wheel sight are highly collectable today! Having been chambered for the 22 Short is a big plus with this model! The company did not produce many of these 22 Shorts.
