This Springfield Armory U.S. Rifle M1 Garand is a right hand semi-auto U.S. Military rifle in .308 Cal. It has a 24 inch barrel. A blade front sight with protective sides and an adjustable aperture rear sight. The butt stock is a smooth grip hardwood pistol grip. The forearm is a smooth grip two piece hardwood. Receiver serial number 917077 (1942). Barrel is stamped Springfield Inc. Geneseo IL. .308. The M1 Garand is widely used by civilians for hunting, target shooting and as a military collectible. .308 Winchester
