“NEW DEPARTURE” 1st Model 5-Shot Conceal Carry Revolver!
Here we present a 1st Model Smith & Wesson .32 Caliber Double Action Safety Hammerless Revolver, made circa 1888 through 1902 in Springfield, Massachusetts with a serial number range of 1 through 91417.
This revolver was made to be a simple, compact and reliable firearm that one could carry in a pocket or a holster around the turn of the 20th Century. This revolver features an internal hammer design to remove risk of snagging or stopping the action. There is a grip safety built into the back of the grip frame. The frame is a top-break design that activates the automatic ejector. These are very nice features from the turn of the 20th Century!
The overall condition is fine. Original nickel finish and some hints of the original case colors on the trigger. The action is strong and tight all the way around. The bore is bright. Both grips are firm with minimal handling wear. Numbers match! Here is prime example of a Smith & Wesson to collect and display!
