WW2 SPRINGFIELD U.S. M1 OR M-1 GARAND .30-06 TANKER STYLE SEMI-AUTO RIFLE, CIRCA 1943. Serial number "2,038,xxx". USGI "M" (Marlin) 18" barrel stamped with drawing numbers "SA F653544" then "1-53" (1953). Proper grooves at muzzle professionally cut for gas mechanism to be attached to Tanker length barrel along with gas hole. Has bolt with extractor and firing pin intact marked "D28287-12SA" over "S-A2(diamond)". Receiver internals present are op-rod catch, follower arm, follower and bullet guide. Rear sight intact. Import stamp on left receiver wall "Intrac, Knox, TN.". Fun little Tanker project gun with mos tof the hard work done for you. Excellent bore and rifling so should be a good shooter.
