COLT MODEL 1877 DOUBLE ACTION LIGHTNING .38 COLT CAL. 4 ½” REVOLVER CIRCA 1903. All original and matching in fine condition with thinning original blue and color case hardening. Original factory hard rubber grips with wear and a slight hairline to the rear of the right flat. Very handsome overall and in very tight perfect working order with excellent plus bore. Factory letter states it was sold to Floradora Tag Company and shipped May 19, 1903 to Continental Tobacco Company in New York City in a 120 gun shipment. It is known that these were offered as sales incentives for the redemption of a certain number of cigar wrappers by this company.
