"Colt 1902 Alaskan Model Revolver. .45 LC made in 1900. 60% of the original finish remains. Excellent bore. Action works perfectly. Grips are very good with the exception of a chip out of the back right hand side. The 1902s were issued to the U.S. Government and have various Inspectors markings. They differed from the 1878s by the enlarged trigger guards. Despite the collector’s term “Alaskan Model" these guns were not made for cold weather climates, they were issued entirely to the Philippines.
