<<>>Made during the Civil War or before this strong 12 ga double percussion shotgun has matched hammers and chosel engraved lock-plates and trigger guard, a what appers to be German silver wedge escheceon plates. The 30 1/2" damascus barrels have a left tube choke of a very tight IM and the right tube of a very tight FULL. Action works well and both nipples have damage. from wear, No name or proofs and may be American made or possilby European where proofs were not needed if a gun was shipped out of the Conrinent, LOP of the harwood hand checkered wrist area stock is about 15" with an iromn butt-plate. Stock is good and has a splinter up along the top left edge. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
