US Springfield Model 1855 Springfield tape primer Civil War Musket dated 1859 in original 3 band military configuration. Full length 3 band walnut stock is in good condition with scattered dents and a repaired crack near the left lock screw head (see photo). Full length rifled 58 caliber 40 inch barrel in the bright with some brown patina and scattered light pitting and correct front and rear sights. Original but plate marked US. Correct functioning tape primer lock marked US Springfield dated 1859 with the American eagle on the door. This hard to find model 1855 is in overal Good condition and complete with the original ramrod. Shipping will be actual cost by priority mail approximately $50.00.
