On Hold Sale Pending US Springfield Model 1873 45-70 trapdoor army rifle that has been converted to carbine configuration. The carbine length walnut stock is in very good condition with nice walnut color. The 1883 dated inspection cartouche and circle P fireing cartouche are present and strong. The 19 inch barrel as well as the US marked but plate, trigger guard and barrel band have most of their original blue finish. Correct model rear sight held by slotless screws and added front sight are present. The US model 1873 breach block and tang still hold strong case colors are tight and function well. The US Springfield marked lock and hammer hold most of the original blue and function well. This trapdoor functions fine and is in very good plus overall condition.
