Description:
Barnett rifle with .577 bore with visible rifling. Has bayonet lug and only marking on top of barrel is a dot at breech. Has the 25 and makers mark under the barrel. The ram rod looks like another foreign or Whitney
Plymouth with threading. It's 100% original and was with this rifle forever as smooth chocolate brown is matching. Has rack #118 stamped on wood near top of buttplate. Excellent working condition. The rifle is
untouched with nice wood and metal mostly smooth very minor pitting at breech. I have heard most  all Barnett's are confederate used. The flaws are a minor crack at rear of lockplate and left side of rear sight
ladder is missing. 2 band rifles are more tough to get than the 3 band muskets.

I've had questons asked about this and other rifles being cut down from rifled muskets. The band spacing is a little longer than on rifled musket plus a bayonet lug. The rifle has three lands and grooves. I guarantee this
rifle as a true 2 bander forever.
