Description:
This is one of the most gorgeous rifles i've ever seen and by far the most beautiful 99 i've ever seen! Rare 1957 model F in the powerful 358 win. I was told by a few collectors that they are not factory. I don't know about that, but the beautiful stocks are fit superbly to this rifle, flush and tight with no abnormalities that i can see and may be one of a kind. It has a flared out pistol grip. The case coloring is outstanding on the lever action and much better in person, the blueing is not perfect but i would give it probably 97-98%. Has the brass internals/counter and excellent jeweled bolt. The wood i would rate at 98-99% with beautiful deep shinyness especially on the buttstock with outstanding grain throughout. no cracks, chips nothing! I am not a collector of fine rifles but WOW IS ALL I CAN SAY IT'S THAT STUNNING! HAS ONE SMALL AREA ON THE LEFT FORESTOCK THAT IS LIKE A RUB SPOT AND POSSIBLY ONE AREA ON THE CHEEK WELD OF THE MONTE CARLO STOCK ON THE LOWER FRONT THAT MAY BE ALMOST LIKE SERRATED INDENTATIONS, I'M NOT SURE IF THAT MAY BE THE WOOD GRAIN COMING THROUGH A LITTLE ROUGH? Sunlight does not lie and you be the judge! Bore and rifling are just as pretty and i have not even cleaned it! I have not fired it, but the action and trigger feel excellent to me. Factory drilled and tapped for scope, but has a redfield peep sight installed on the rear and i'm not sure if that was factory or not? I lever boss code that dates it to 1957.
